best
thing to do is to buy a current cams manual which is about $40.00 if you
have a cams licence & i think about $60.00 if you dont.
there are diagrams of what to build etc.
check
out www.cams.com.au the order forms are on
the site somewhere
new
rules for this year are that cages must have front legs, ie 6 point. 4 point
cages no longer allowed
a
fully welded in cage will give you a stiffer car so it best to do
it.
with
intrusion bars they will need to be removable if you want a legal cage for road
use.
i
never take mine out, but if the police made a fuss i could.
you
need to remove the dash & run the cage through it as well otherwise some
roadworthy inspectors or blue plate engineers will fail the car as the front
legs block access in & out of the car.
you
wont be able to use an alloy cage if the car already isnt already log
booked.
cheers
Jeff
