I had an XD last year (project that never happened) and looked into the 351 conversion. I think you can slip it thru as a user-certified/approved modification since it's a motor that the car did have in that chassis on some models. In NSW you should be able to get it thru with a blue slip inspection to check engine mounts, chassis and engine numbers.
