hmmmm, i would pay more than $200 for a
running magna with electronic dash,,,, with smokey engine and rattle when it
starts up...( or do they come from factory like that
????????).
if you get a wreck like that , at least you would
have all the proper sender units for gauges.......
in THEORY i dont think that it would be
too hard, follow the wires that come from the oil press gauge, and follow it
back to where it connects up to sender unit, etc......i reckon the main problem
would be the speedo drive....
i think that jaycar do a digital speedo kit for
about 70 dollars or so......
check jaycar,altronics and dick smiths for
the kit

Hey list,
Does anyone know if there is a straight forward
upgrade to convert my datsun 1600 to a more modern speedometer
?
ideally i would like speedo & odometer in
kilometers with a trip meter as well, digital would be nice, but not
crucial.
I have thought about installing a bicycle
computer as I have seen other cars with them, but wouldnt mind just doing
a proper conversion & being done with it.
Any suggestions ? - Thanks
