Aussi Gazelles were solid back ends, but there are some grey import S12's
with IRS. Basically the same as a 1600 but fitted with an R180 sized diff.
A mate has one with the IRS rear end and has just replaced the FJ20 (NA) in
it with an SR20DET. Very quick.

It took 3 nights for the swap, but he paid a penalty. The inlet pipe from
the IC to the mani was positioned under the bonnet so it just rested on the
top of his radiator hose . Engine movement was enough to crack the top
(plastic toyota) radiator tank.

Otherwise the install was a dream, no cross member reversals/steering mods.
