whats your connection speed Kris?   I did sp2 twice today once on ISDN 128k and once on 512/512 DSL and both took over an hour.   I did the "forced" installation so I could see it progress.   The reason for the up traffic is the BITS distribution technique which is a bit like bit torrent.  instead of everyone downloading from a central server you sort of download bits from all over.
