That probley can be done.. I thought if nissan used
the smaller top that would be fine ,, but must be bigger for a reason..and takes
about 5 mins per side to file out.
Plus then you can also use the metal saftey plates
that stop the strut inscert popin thru the bonnet if they fk out.
Which you can also use to mount a strut brace
off...allready comes factory with three 6mm holes in top, just need to tap them
out and cut a lengh of steel and bolt it on.
I've only ever seen the saftey tops on 240K coupes
1973-5.
I have a spare pair if anyone wants them also a
pair of struts., later type 254mm disc....
Early are 271mm but new disc's are a no go. can
still buy 254's.
anyway the 271mm (early) type has the same sort of
cailper as a 510, the 254mm has 260Z type.
13" dont really fit,, with 99.5% of wheels,,,
Hence why I run 14x7 with 185x60x14 tyres
which is the same height as 175x60x13 on a 13x5.5 ..
