195/60x14 are almost identical to factory 165SRx13 - and you can get good
quality tyres almost anywhere at reasonable prices.
195/65x14 are a little steeper if that's what you want. You will probably
have to import anything in the 13" range that's wider than 185 in a 60 or 70
series, which is the main reason most of us use 14 or 15's now. In 15" 195/50
are slightly lower that stock, 195/55 are about the same or a little higher.
Have a look at the Bridgestone US website as they have data on all of their
tyres. The factory tyre on a 1600 does 886 revs per mile and that's what
the speedo is roughly calibrated against - there's around a 4% fast indicated
built into Speedos back then - rumour has it so ppl wouldn't get
booked?
