oh crap Rick that is heartbreaking!
Well the unthinkable
has happened.
Not my fault.
Was trying to jumpstart the Z18
SSS Bluey yesterday on end of my driveway.
Battery died after sitting
there for 12+weeks waiting for me to bolt most of the engine bay in, after I
got sick of pulling it apart to fix busted hoses under the intake manifold
1600 station wagon at end of driveway on verge. (Rear pointing at
bluey)
1600 SSS 4 door with undamaged front end with bonnet open on
passenger side of car on footpath pointing at Bluebird, my jumper leads are a
little old and were heating up as I was trying to crank her over. (nose
pointing at bluey)
Neibour says, hea I have an idea, why don't we
double jumper lead it with my 4 wheel drive.
He drives down driveway,
pulls hand brake, opens bonnet, hooks up the jumper leads, and the 4 wheel
drive starts labouring, he reaches in to add a little fuel.
4 wheel
drive is still in drive.
4 wheel drive lurches forward at approx 40km/h
Takes out both my 1600's
Damage to SSS 1600
1) Whole Radiator support pannel
bent towards engine approx 5 inches.
2) Front Bumper that was dead
straight (still available from Nissan)
3) Front apron (still available
from Nissan)
4) SSS grill totally dead (still available from Nissan)
Luckilly, as they are different to stock sedans and wagons
5)
Need a new Radiator. (should be able to sort that out quite easilly)
It is
all ripped up from were the clutch fan was trying to spin when it was hit.
6) Need a new water pump (should be able to sort that out quite
easilly)
Won't chance this one by not replacing it, as it may of cracked
the bearing carrier, and may start leaking ina couple of weeks.
Now
for the wagon, rear bumper has a killer dent, and a dead tailgate.
I need the
following ASAP
Whole Radiator support pannel
Front Bumper if it is
straight
Front apron if it is straight
SSS grill
And a
tailgate for my wagon, I think the spare I have is quite rusty, too far to
just go and have a look.
Please help me, 2/3rd's of my cars are broke.
I don't have insurance
Would prefer
local.
