Thanks but, I can't lay claim to those welds - the flat bar was already
welded in there. My welding well ummm how about an example, today I was
making the intercooler piping and whilst welding burnt the webbing of my
little finger (fun fun fun)
280hp - i seriously hope i get close to that, have got 555cc nismo
injectors, 300x maf and some beautiful maps care of pete liebig.
What do you think about a little panel beating of the strut towers? The
intercooler piping is going mighty close to the strut tower now (like 10mm
off) and a little knock of the strut tower would fix it all up ;)

nice welding work, you've done some before by the looks of that. It was a
bit work to get that right but you can now be confidant that mount will
not
be an issue when you're pumping 280hp and who knows how much torque (which
is the stuff that breaks things) thru it. I can see no reason for an
engineering type to have issue with it now. Well done.

Just thought i'd give an update on how I went with fitting my turbo.
I ground back the mount and lopped a small piece off of the pad that
sits
on the insulator (image below)

Taking a bit off of the pad made alot more room between the
compressor
