Hi, memcached performs pretty much the same on a virtual machine (AWS EC2) as it does on physical machine.
At McCann.com (where I contract), memcache is used to maintain a list of servers and the number of posts in different forums. I haven't really pushed memcache hard enough to see if it would perform differently on a virtual machine vs. physical machine. Has anybody noted any differences?
