Patches look a lot better after being passed through git diff -w. I took
the files from the gist and copied them over.
I honestly hate this, you should be using runit or daemontools or whatnot.
Maybe this is good motivation to write a systemmd starter.
But either way, the patches aren't very invasive, and the "status" command
never existed explicitly. If it bothers people, they can add wiki examples
for using daemontools/etc.
Sitting in my for_147 branch, to be included for 1.4.7-rc1.
