In influencing application architecture in internal discussions and when discussing scalability at conferences, I often hear myself saying many of the same things about memcached and wonder if my views are reasonable. I know on list there are religious views as well about how memcached should be used as well. This is a quick survey to help me balance my views with common practice.
I am not affiliated with the memcached project, nor is the survey. It also is not for any commercial purpose, I am just looking at this from a pure engineering debate perspective.
