Is that t/whitespace.t thing actually stopping the build/compile/etc?
Saying that it skipped tests is informational. That "fatal:" is probably
git printing something on STDERR.

Anyway; for those of you following at home, we've been committing fixes to
the tree: https://github.com/memcached/memcached

We may be ready for 1.4.12 tonight, or maybe tomorrow. I'm not sure yet.
If you've had build trouble please grab the git tree and give it a go.
