The tests with memcached 1.4.20 did not hang on FreeBSD 10.1 either.
So it looks like one of the FreeBSD fixes removed the problem but that's
again just guessing.
The live servers we updated to 10.1 / 1.4.22 are still running without a
hitch so it seems this setup is stable again.
