I am confused here: 30K page views a second ? That is too much ? You mean thats the highest you have ever got right, because at 30K page views / sec: 30,000 * 3600 (hour) * 24 (days) * 30 = 77 billion page views a month .... that is IIRC more than that of Yahoo + MySpace combined ? Or am I wrong ?
This math is (may be) wrong.. cause nobody said that the 30k per/sec is average/sustained rate so you can't multiply it that way. At peaks we get some 30k php page requests per second also (and each memcached pushing out 20-30 megabytes per sec).. but it kinda drops quite a lot in the "night" hours.
