Hello all,

I'm willing to try and help make the Win32 code up-to-date.

I've taken a look at it and it seems the old code is from v1.2.1 and uses libevent v1.1a. What version of libevent is used in 1.2.4 (the minimum required version, at least officially) ?

We need to get the 1.2.1 code up-to-date with 1.2.4 and make sure both it and the right version of libevent that is used on other places works well. I also want to make sure there are projects files for VS2005 and it compiles well on it (all of the necessary parts).

It is time for memcached-win32 to be a part of the main memcached release :-)

Anyone else is willing to help?

I'm hoping for a new maintainer of memcached-win32. I'd be willing to work with them to get it merged, but so far it's been quiet (on the list and to me) about what its status is.

What is the status of memcached-win32? Will there be a binary release?
Is it merged into trunk? Just curious.

Hey all,

1.2.4 is up at http://danga.com/memcached/

I've found no other issues in my own (limited) testing, and I've heard
no significant reports since -rc2.

1.2.4 includes many bug and platform fixes since 1.2.2. It includes
thread-safe statistics commands, and new commands:
'append', 'prepend', 'gets', and 'cas'.

The oft discussed binary protocol is not included in this release, we
are planning its quick release in the future. I will also follow up with
updated wiki documentation, and examples for the new commands.

Please report all bugs to the mailing list, and otherwise happy caching! :)

have fun,
-Dormando
