Mendele Personal Notices & Announcements Feb. 5, 2010
To minimize wear and tear on the untershames, three requests: 1. Send time-sensitive notices well in advance. 2. Send material as plain text: no HTML, other coding, or attachments;and write MENDELE PERSONALS in the subject line. 3. Correspond directly with the person who or organization which has posted the notice, *not* with your ever-beleaguered untershames. ______________________________________________________________ *The untershames apologizes for the appalling delay in posting this notice.* From: Fabian Schnedler <[email protected]> Date: Thu, 10 Dec 2009 17:29:34 +0100 Subject: Search for copyrights Sholem Aleykhem tayere fraynt fun der yidisher shprakh, my name is Fabian Schnedler, I'm a Yiddish singer from Berlin who today finally decided to join Mendele. I'm not yet daring to write in Yiddish but let's see--maybe soon. This is my concern: In the last three years I put music to Yiddish poems of 20th century Yiddish writers, right now I'm producing a CD of these "contemporary" songs. To publish the CD I need the permission of the right owners. Now I'm in contact with Beyle Schaechter-Gottesman and Anna Miransky (Peretz Miransky's daugther). But I'm still looking for a contact to relatives/publishers of... - Jacob Jacobs - Rachel Korn - Dora Teitelboim (I contacted the Teitelboim Center via website but they did not respond) - Itzik Fefer - Peretz Markish I'm also looking for a biography/a CV of Jacob Jacobs. Who can help me to find the right people to talk to? Whoever is interested in the music, have a look at:www.myspace.com/fayvish A dank, al dos guts, Fayvish _________________________________________________ Please do not use the "reply" key when writing to Mendele.
