Mendele Personal Notices & Announcements May 22, 2010
To minimize wear and tear on the untershames, three requests: 1. Send time-sensitive notices well in advance. 2. Send material as plain text: no HTML, other coding, or attachments;and write MENDELE PERSONALS in the subject line. 3. Correspond directly with the person who or organization which has posted the notice, *not* with your ever-beleaguered untershames. _____________________________________________________________ Date: Mon, 17 May 2010 19:43:57 -0700 From: Philip Kutner <[email protected]> Subject: Habrina of Hunterdon Over 90 Mama stories were published in Der Bay and compiled in a book,Hrabina of Hunterdon. Hrabina means "countess"in Polish. The book was first released at the 13th IAYC conference. Mama dressed and worked like a peasant woman. She always wore a kerchief to cover her hair and skirts made from Purina feedbags. Her hands were calloused and red. The cracks in the skin from the cold often opened and bled, but she carried herself as if she were royalty. Each week three of these stories will be sent to online subscribers to Der Bay.
