Jewish Communists and the New Yiddish Culture in the Soviet Union,dealing with the 1920 Questions following the talk may be asked in English and Russian as well as in Yiddish. Prof. Gitelman is a distinguished scholar of East European and Soviet Jewish history. A selection of readings from Soviet Yiddish poetry will precede the lecture Sponsored by the Yiddish Committee of Boston Workmen's Circle.
