Mendele Personal Notices & Announcements April 24, 2012
To minimize wear and tear on the untershames, three requests: 1. Send time-sensitive notices well in advance. 2. Send material as plain text: no HTML, other coding, or attachments;and write MENDELE PERSONALS in the subject line. 3. Correspond directly with the person who or organization which has posted the notice, *not* with your ever-beleaguered untershames. _______________________________________________________________________ Date: Tue, 24 Apr 2012 15:32:43 -0400 From: Binyumen Schaechter <[email protected]> Subject: Yiddish performance Sunday with Schaechter & JPPC, in NYC You are invited this Sunday, April 29, 2012, 3:00 PM, to come hear the JPPC / Jewish People's Philharmonic Chorus, with Conductor Binyumen Schaechter, perform in New York City. Then you can come to the JPPC's big concert on Sunday, June 3rd, 4:30 PM at Symphony Space. What if you already have tickets to the JPPC's June 3rd concert? Why should you come this Sunday if you'll hear the same music in June? Of the 8 numbers we're performing this Sunday, only 4 will be in the June concert. The latter concert will not only have 8-9 *additional* Yiddish numbers, but a Yiddish operetta, as well. (English translations always provided.) So not only will you hear a relatively small amount of the June concert this Sunday - you'll also get to hear four terrific numbers that *won't* be in the June concert. And it's not every day that one gets to hear the JPPC perform an a cappella set... Questions: [email protected] We hope to see you on Sunday.
