1. Send time-sensitive notices well in advance. 2. Correspond directly with the person who or organization which has posted the notice, *not* with your ever-beleaguered untershames. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ [The untershames apologizes for the *very* long delay in posting this notice] From: Robert A. Rothstein <[email protected]> Date: May 31 It is with great sadness that I write to report that Michael (Motl) Rosenbush died today (Saturday, May 30). Motl was born in Lublin in 1937 and spent the war years together with his family in the Soviet Union, initially in Siberia and later in Ukraine. The family returned to Lublin in 1946, later moved to Warsaw and still later to Belgium and eventually to Canada. Motl had three careers: as a Professor of Russian, later as a personnel consultant and, after his retirement, as an active Yiddishist, who helped to develop the *svive* movement and contributed importantly to the preparation of the Beinfeld-Bochner *Comprehensive Yiddish-English Dictionary. *He will be sorely missed. *Koved zayn ondenk!* ___________________________________________________________ Please do not use the "reply" key when writing to Mendele.
