Salam MENOG Community, This is a call for applications for the Middle East and Adjoining Countries School on Internet Governance 2022 (MEAC-SIG 2022).
We invite academics, civil society, government and public sector, the technical community and the private sector from the Middle East and Adjoining Countries (22 Arab States, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan) to take this unique opportunity. The event will occur virtually starting on Monday, 31 October and concluding on Thursday, 3 November, from 8.00 AM UTC until 11.30 AM UTC. Before the 4-days of live lectures, students will do prep-work (reading articles, taking online courses, and watching some videos) starting in early October. Applicants must fulfil the following conditions: Must be a citizen of the MEAC region or resides in the MEAC region; Must not have attended any past SIGs; Confirm that you can access the Zoom platform from within your geography; Must fulfil all elements of the SIG, and this includes enrolling in all online courses assigned and attending all sessions; Must fill out the below application form in its entirety; Incomplete applications will not be considered; Attendance of MEAC-SIG is free of charge.
