The MEAC School on Internet Governance 2023 (MEAC-SIG 2023) is offering an 
eight-week series of online courses, followed by a three-day in-person 
intensive program covering core Internet governance issues.

 
The eight weeks of virtual courses will be offered on different learning 
platforms from 1 October until 25 November, 2023.
The in-person component will take place in Muscat, Oman, on 18–20 December, 
2023.
 

We invite academicians; representatives of civil society, government and public 
sector, the technical community, and the private sector from the Middle East 
and Adjoining Countries (MEAC) (22 Arab States, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, and 
Pakistan) to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

 

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

 
Must be a citizen of the MEAC region or currently residing in the MEAC region;
Must not have attended any past SIGs;
Must complete all tracks of the eight-week virtual program (online courses and 
webinars);
Must attend all  three days of the in-person program; and
Must fill out the below application form in its entirety. Incomplete 
applications will not be considered.
 
Attendance at MEAC-SIG 2023 is free of charge. Completion of all courses in the 
eight-week virtual track (both online courses and webinars) is required to 
qualify to attend the three-day in-person program.

 

The application period will be open until 4 September 2023 at 23.59 UTC.

is recommended that you have a look at the agenda before expressing your 
interest in attending.
