aSalaamu alaykum MENOG Community,
We are confident that the situation in Syria is relatively peaceful and
will continue to be so in the future, but given the recent regional news
and activity the MENOG coordination team are in agreement that the
perceived uncertainty to both in-region and out-of-region visitors will
cause difficulty in conducting a proper and complete MENOG event.
Therefore we are currently trying to determine an alternative location
and host for MENOG 8. So please stay tuned and we will to update you in
about a weeks time. Also, please continue to submit your conference
papers if you were planning to do so.
We thank our Syrian host SCS-net for all there support, and will rely on
them to plan a MENOG in Syria once it becomes easier to do so.
