Thanks for the interest - we have been working on this :) We'll be setting up a not-for-profit account to accept donations for Mer. There was a proposal about it at the last Advisory Board meeting. I've found a bank that doesn't charge (us) for international money transfers - I'm not sure if/how we'll handle other forms of payment like paypal.
