Hi,

It is my 1st participation here. I would like to start porting some FOSS softwares from Maemo 5/MeeGo Harmattan to Mer/Nemo/Sailfish/etc, mainly in Python (and some dependencies) : IPython, SymPy, NumPy, MatPlotLib, Calculus (Python/Qt Quick Components), etc.

I've asked MeeGo COBS access 2 days ago by following :
https://build.pub.meego.com/user/register_user
so I've sent email to "[email protected]" and "[email protected]". Thanks in advance if someone can approve my access.

What's the common way of packaging Python softwares for Mer ?
- using only COBS ?
- using local packaging with rpmbuild, or PyPackager, or what ? Then sending to COBS ?

I've succesfully setup on my notebook with Ubuntu 12.04 : Nemo Mobile i586 VM with Virtual Box, Mer Plataform SDK with Mer-SB2-armv7hl, Mer-python-development and nemo-n950 target (with python-devel, python-pyside, gcc, make, etc).

I am also interested to have Easy Mer (SDK) / Easy Nemo (SDK) running on Nokia N9, see the Talk Maemo.org topic :
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=88868
Also see the "Python (modules) on Mer/Nemo" topic :
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=88881

        Best regards,

        Roberto Colistete Jr.
