I am pleased to announce 7.1.0 of Mer Tools has been released.
The repos are available at:

Your Platform SDK should be able to do:
sdk-version --latest --go
Please report any issues with Platform SDK or Mer Application SDK to the mailing
list.
This release has several new diagnostics tools, many helpers for the platform
and application SDKs and several bug fixes (thanks to Philippe De Swert, Islam
Amer and Marko Saukko).
I apologise that the Mer Tools development and contribution process is still a
little vague. The intention has been to explore an alternate approach to
source/package management using git-pkg and OBS source services. This is still
somewhat experimental.
The basic flow is:
* fork or create a git repo with the source and packaging on github (soon Mer
git system)
* test build on COBS (soon Mer OBS)
* request inclusion to Mer:Tools:Testing for community testing
* request promotion to Mer:Tools and the rolling release
* new Mer Tools release snapshot made when release criteria met
* set new release criteria
I'll be working more on improving this process - feedback welcome.
