Hi,
there was couple of issues in N900 image, but those should have been
fixed last week. The issue there was that UI didn't come up but rest of
the device was still functional, e.g., usb networking could be
connected. If you face more issues with this try if usb networking works
and if it does come to #nemomobile and lets try to check what is the issue.

I don't know for sure it's not an hardware issue of my N900, but:
I tried updating Nemo via packages-app. The result was a non-working
x-server.
Then I tried via terminal and zypper, same problem.
I read, this was because X itself get's updated and kills the
terminal.
My last hope was connecting wifi and ssh to the phone via
usb-networking.
Then I tried updating again, like described in the wiki. After
updating
lots of packages, the connection was lost. Now it boots till the boot
screen, then won't go on.
How do you update?
