Not required. I've seen these features on several rails plugin sites, and there are only a handful of ratings per plugin - even for the popular ones ! * 3 *naming conventions ? - This is a hard one. I for one have difficulty remembering the distinction between _ and -. IMO, just merb-slicerepo- I-am-a-plugin is enough - as long as merb-slicerepo is constant. Just my 2 cents.
