Hi - I'm also have the same issues that anything in the $APP/gems/ directory seems to get ignored.
in config/init.rb :: # ==== Set up load paths Gem.clear_paths Gem.path.unshift(Merb.root / "gems") # ==== Dependencies dependency 'dm-ar-finders' will flunk (running with bin/merb) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:merbquest/trunk]$ bin/ merb (10-25 17:43) Loaded full RubyGems instead of MiniGems A gem was possibly implicitly loaded from /Users/dc/svn/merbquest/ trunk/gems/gems/merb-core-0.9.10/lib/merb-core/controller/template.rb: 183 Loading init file from /Users/dc/svn/merbquest/trunk/config/init.rb Merb.env: development Loading /Users/dc/svn/merbquest/trunk/config/environments/ development.rb ~ Loaded DEVELOPMENT Environment... ~ ~ FATAL: The gem dm-ar-finders (>= 0, runtime), [] was not found ~ ~ ~ FATAL: The file dm-ar-finders was not found ~ but the gem exists here: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:merbquest/trunk]$ ls gems/gems/dm-ar- finders-0.9.7 (10-25 17:55) History.txt LICENSE Manifest.txt README.txt Rakefile TODO lib/ spec/ [EMAIL PROTECTED]:merbquest/trunk] $ (10-25 17:55) I assume "dependency()" is the way to go here, rather than loading every gem with "require"? I also tried Merb.push_path(:gems, Merb.root / "gems") this is using the following versions (just pulled down from git so i assume this is RC2, however rc2 seems to include datamapper 096, at least if one uses the thor tasks, so i pulled dm down separately): [EMAIL PROTECTED]:gems/gems]$ l (10-25 18:05) total 16 0 drwxr-xr-x 21 dc staff 714B Oct 25 17:13 ./ 0 drwxr-xr-x 8 dc staff 272B Oct 24 17:58 ../ 16 -rw-r--r--@ 1 dc staff 6.0K Oct 25 16:38 .DS_Store 0 drwxr-xr-x 14 root staff 476B Oct 25 15:06 activemerchant-1.3.2/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 10 root staff 340B Oct 25 17:13 dm-aggregates-0.9.7/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 10 root staff 340B Oct 25 16:36 dm-ar-finders-0.9.7/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 10 root staff 340B Oct 25 17:13 dm-sweatshop-0.9.7/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 11 root staff 374B Oct 25 17:13 dm-tags-0.0.2/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 10 root staff 340B Oct 25 17:13 dm-timestamps-0.9.7/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 10 root staff 340B Oct 25 17:13 dm-types-0.9.7/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 10 root staff 340B Oct 25 17:13 dm- validations-0.9.7/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 7 root staff 238B Oct 25 16:16 extlib-0.9.8/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 8 root staff 272B Oct 25 16:16 merb-action- args-0.9.10/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 8 root staff 272B Oct 25 16:16 merb-assets-0.9.10/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 7 root staff 238B Oct 25 16:16 merb-auth-0.9.10/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 8 root staff 272B Oct 25 16:16 merb-cache-0.9.10/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 11 root staff 374B Oct 25 16:16 merb-core-0.9.10/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 8 root staff 272B Oct 25 16:16 merb-helpers-0.9.10/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 9 root staff 306B Oct 25 16:16 merb-mailer-0.9.10/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 10 root staff 340B Oct 25 16:16 merb-slices-0.9.10/ 0 drwxr-xr-x 8 dc staff 272B Oct 24 18:00 merb_pikkle-0.0.1/ [EMAIL PROTECTED]:gems/gems]$ On 10月25日, 午前8:34, Peter Gumeson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Thanks Fabian, > > I see, so dependencies.rb is also the source of what is installed with > merb:stack:install?
