Having been unable to get merb running with datamapper/mysql on cygwin
I have installed ubuntu on my laptop (using wubi - very cool!) and I'm
now trying to install merb. However this is what I'm seeing -

$ sudo gem install merb
Building native extensions. This could take a while...
ERROR: Error installing merb:
ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension.
/usr/bin/ruby1.8 extconf.rb install merb
checking for sqlite3.h... no
*** extconf.rb failed ***
Could not create Makefile due to some reason, probably lack of
necessary libraries and/or headers.
----
I have installed sqlite3 and libsqlite3-ruby1.8 using aptitude. What
else am I missing?
