This feature is currently available only for Servlet HTTP session states and is available on GlassFish v3 prelude. This is explained at:
http://blogs.sun.com/jluehe/entry/retain_session_data_during_redeployment and http://www.slideshare.net/pelegri/saved-session-state-in-glassfish-v3-prelude-presentation It's not implemented for Merb apps. Are Merb sessions stored in memory or database ? Can you file an RFE at: http://rubyforge.org/projects/glassfishgem/ for tracking purpose ?
