I've been reading about the namespace scheme and based on your responses this sounds like the way to go. There's a basic tutorial here which seems to cover this topic (beginning with the section "Namespaced Routes"): http://www.akitaonrails.com/2007/12/12/rolling-with-rails-2-0-the-first-full-tutorial I like the idea of a thin admin interface--it seems to fit the "Merb Way," at least from a newcomer's perspective. Other solutions to this problem seem to get 80-90% of the way there, yet still leave developers unhappy.
