Well, as originally manifested, the problem looked worse than it really
was -- I had accidentally left merb -i running in another window, so
when I ran my specs, there was no error message in my log file related
to the syntax error; the only error I had was the one about not finding
a controller, and I had serious trouble tracking down the problem.

Personally, I think Merb shouldn't start at all if there are syntax
errors in the controllers, but I guess I can see the point of view of
the people who complained about it.
