Thanks so much for the response Roy, Running "sudo gem install merb" again produces... Successfully installed merb-1.0.11 1 gem installed Installing ri documentation for merb-1.0.11... Installing RDoc documentation for merb-1.0.11...
"merb -verbose" just displayed a page of help text. I also ran the troubleshooting commands on http://wiki.merbivore.com/howto/installation/gems. The symptoms remain the same. Is there a way to do a fresh install of all this ruby and gem stuff? Cheers, George PS: Out of interest I have just tried installing merb in Windows instead, on InstantRails. This produced a different error: C:\InstantRails-2.0-win\rails_apps>gem install merb Bulk updating Gem source index for: http://gems.rubyforge.org ************************************************** Thank you for installing rspec-1.2.6 Please be sure to read History.rdoc and Upgrade.rdoc for useful information about this release. ************************************************** Building native extensions.
