I'm running YARD on various parts of the Merb code base. Walking down the 'lib/**/*.rb' glob, it tries to parse some template files (lib/generators/templates/*.rb) as Ruby. Doesn't like them :-).
I'm modifying my use of YARD, as a workaround, but I'd like a better solution. YARD could be modified to "taste" the files (eg, look for '<%=') or special-case the Merb convention, but this seems like just another (albeit more convenient) workaround. So, I'm asking. Is there a reason why these files use a misleading extension? Why not use *.rb.erb, as in the Rails View convention?
