What I'm actually using is MongoRecord, an ActiveRecord simil for 
MongoDB. At the time I started the project, it was the only decent 
orm-ish thingy I could find, and using the raw driver was ok for most 
things, but I started pulling my hair out when DBRefs came into the 
game. I'll have a look at what you said too.
