I use nginx for the public facing http deamon. From my nginx config, I can direct requests for mydoamin.com to the merb rack cluster. I can also have a separate config block to direct traffic for mydomain.com/blog to the sinatra rack processes. This is the simplest solution. You can do the same with Apache or just about any other front end http deamon.
