Great idea, thanks Chris and all.

It does kinda work. One odd things is that not all my model methods
are available within the Part.
(Even though all methods work fine when I use the same code in a
Partial)

In the "Trip" model we have a bunch of properties and some methods,
such as def dateSummary ... end
In the Part, all properties and methods are accessible, but
In the partial the properties are accessible but the methods are not
(for example: undefined method `dateSummary' for Trip:Class)
