Pavel, Would be great if you could apply some fix to run_later (I am using nginx, not passenger, if that makes a diff). I am using merb 1.1.0.pre w/ ruby 1.9.1-p243. Also of note, I am using 1.1.0.pre from git as of end of December. Yesterday, I built 1.1.0.pre with the latest commits and bundler is giving me hell (I'm not bundling and don't intend to adopt it until things are _very_ stable). The solution was to uninstall bundler 0.8.1 and install 0.7.2 along with dropping back to the merb git commits as of end of December.
