I'm getting ready to add this behavior to my new app.  In my last app,
I decided it was easier to roll my own instead of fighting with
someone else's code.  My decision is the same this time around.
I think you'll find rolling your own is very straightforward and you
gain the comfort of knowing exactly what's going on.
