Hello, I've been trying to install merb on my Mac for the past few
days but have been unsuccessful. I've done some googling to see if I
can find a solution, but no luck.

The general error I am getting is:

Building native extensions. This could take a while...
ERROR: Error installing merb:
ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension.

/System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/bin/ruby
extconf.rb
checking for sqlite3.h... yes
checking for sqlite3_open() in -lsqlite3... no
*** extconf.rb failed ***
Could not create Makefile due to some reason, probably lack of
necessary libraries and/or headers. Check the mkmf.log file for more
details. You may need configuration options.

I am going to link to some other error message information in hopes
that someone may be able to help.

Other info:
Mac OS X version 10.6.2
ruby 1.8.7 (2008-08-11 patchlevel 72) [universal-darwin10.0]
gem version 1.3.5

Let me know if I need to include any other information.

I appreciate your help.
Ramin
