If Merb 1.x become be Merb 2 it will be RoR 3, because "Effectively, Merb 2 is Rails 3.", right? What about different rendering in Rails and Merb? Merb uses simple "return last expresion" logic. Rails 3 (at least for beta) still use old, nasty Rails 2 render method (it can raise DoubleRender exception if it is used more than once in the request). Is there any plan for RoR3 to add Merb approach or not?
And second. I know RoR3 beta can mount any Rack based frameworks and it is OK (although it can be easy simulated by simple mod_rewrite rules in RoR2). Merb's Parts are more interesting. They play role of components which is very usefull.
