For those of you that don't know, I have started an FTP server which serves
over 30GB of Mercedes related content. CD manuals, technical information,
even Mercedes related multimedia content can be found there. This server is
a collection of items gathered over the years of being on Banned, Club and
Diesel lists. I want everyone to know that this server is open to anyone and
everyone. Perhaps Striplin will put a link in the list serv footer so this
information is easily accessible to everyone.

The user name is Diesel and the password is diesel. The host address is
telshena.dyndns.org. You can visit via web browser by going to
ftp://Diesel:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Please make sure of the following: if you are using an FTP client software,
disable passive FTP transfers. If you are using a web browser such as IE,
make sure you have 'folder view enabled for FTP' sites checked and 'use
passive FTP' unchecked in the advanced tab of the internet options.

I know there has been an issue in the past with me not allowing passive FTP
transfers. FYI, this server is behind a NAT firewall and still functions
fully without the use of passive FTP transfers. I understand your pain if
you are a user behind a firewall, however there are other options besides
passive transfers which will still allow you to connect to my server. My
suggestion to those of you in this situation is to enter your firewall
software or router configuration page. Go to the section which deals with
port range forwarding and simply forward ports 20 and 21 to your local IP
address. I would be happy to provide more detailed information on how to do
this, however this information is most easily obtained from the company
website of you firewall software or router.

Thanks and happy downloading.

Regards,

Tarek Elshenawy
