out of curiosity, what about the opposite: I've got an '85 SD with a
straight body (clear coat failed on top & old person parking lot door dent
in RR door, but no 'wrecks' or rust), runs well, drives well, 270K, but
interior has cracks & rips in the seat + some stuff that needs to be checked
out (one door lock + window motor + sunroof + AC). So, basically an SD
that needs some TLC but would be good all 'round if it got it is worth ???
I can (and have - extensively) weld to make a rusty car solid & safe, but
imho that is always either an act of love, zealous emotional attachment to a
particular car, or shear stupidity for just about any production car known
to mankind.

many fiats, 1 vw, 1 mb, 0 range rover (hooray, I think) - in search of the
right F250 powerstroke crew cab
