To corroborate Dave's statement - the oil analysis on my 300SDL
(287,000 miles) at 10,211 miles on Mobil1 indicated 0.5% soot. I'm
about to hit another 10k miles, and will get another analysis done. I
am VERY impressed with the cold starting of the engines with Mobil1 -
having used dino oil for 20 years and having to plug in the block
heater before switching.
