Ya, we owned caddies from the mid 50 onwards, mind the last one,
which I inherited btw, was an 85, the "gutless wonder" we named it,
amazing an engine so big could produce so little HP. The last straw
was when the rear bumper fell off in traffic one afternoon. Seems the
mounts were aluminum which had oxidized into powder. Still I sold it
to a fellow
from Ethiopia for $500 who converted it into a taxi, extremely proud
that he had a caddy now... I did shake his hand and say good luck and
hoped the car would make it out of sight before
something else fell off.
