Was driving up our driveway a coupla days ago and through the trees across the drive in front of the truck flies this HUGE thing about 10ft off the ground and landed on a limb about 50ft away. Stopped to look at it, was about 18-20" tall on that limb. Looked through the bird book last night and I think it might have been a juvenile bald eagle, best I could tell from the coloring. I have noticed lots of tasty squirrels around, one fell about 40ft out of a tree the other morning and thumped down, was walking a bit funny after that adventure. I bet that bird has plenty o' snackies, whatever it was.
