SWMBA is looking at the 2006 R series. Around here they have dropped
half retail in only two years. Either they are total crap and really
were worth $25k new, or ....

I think that there is no way a car built today will be functional in
any shape within a decade of driving off dealer lot. The things are
just not built to last the way car were when I grew up. Will there
really be a dedicated support system in place for the detroit iron
being peddled now? I fail to see how or why anybody would fall in
love with the garbage out there today. Can we actually shade tree
these cars? I suspect the things will come off lease, get sold to a
sucker who will drive them for four year and junk them when it become
too expensive to replace the clapped out electronics.

The stupid cars and truck do not even look distinctive enough to
engender primal feelings. The cars all look the same. Rounded turds
made of plastic and tinfoil with styrofoam bumpers. Mercedes cars
have lost their DNA and morphed into japo-buggies that meet wind
tunnel test needs, but not the lust in the heart of a driver.
