I think you could make it. Wouldn't be able to hit as many miles in a day as you would in the E320, but still doable. I went out to Phoenix and back in my '79 300SD. I live about 90 mins from Meridian and Tuscaloosa (both off I-20)... you should stop by and buy my 2.5T ;) If nothing else we could get some MB caravan action going on.
